Tyres for trucks
Tyres for trucks and buses (commercial tyres) are specifically designed to withstand heavy loads and demanding conditions and are valued for their long service life.
What makes truck tyres special?
Truck tyres have a reinforced carcass construction that allows them to carry heavier loads and therefore last longer. Their tread pattern is deeper and wider to ensure better grip. Thanks to specialised rubber compounds, they resist wear, heat, and other extreme conditions. The tread can also be renewed to extend service life. These tyres are built to cover long distances, handle heavy loads, and perform on varied road surfaces. Their construction and materials deliver high levels of safety even in challenging conditions.
Tyre types
Regional tyres
It is suitable for local and regional haulage with frequent stops and mixed road surfaces. They feature reinforced construction and resist wear in corners and under braking. Regional tyres are valued for strong grip on wet and uneven surfaces. Typical tread depth: 16-18 mm.
Long-haul tyres
Designed for long motorway distances at steady speeds. These truck tyres offer low rolling resistance, reduced fuel consumption, and a long service life. Typical tread depth: 12-14 mm.
Winter truck tyres
Engineered for cold climates, snow, and ice. They have deep, siped tread. The rubber compound is usually softer and suited to low temperatures. Typical tread depth: 16-20 mm.
Special-purpose (on/off-road) tyres
Built for construction sites, quarries, off-road use, etc. They usually feature reinforced sidewalls, aggressive tread patterns, and high resistance to damage and punctures. Typical tread depth: 18-22 mm.
When choosing tyres, first consider the duty cycle: regional routes or long-haul. Selecting the right tyres extends service life, lowers fuel consumption, and reduces replacement frequency.
